A nice review
HEY! here’s a nice review about this band we do.

It’s by mr Will Fitzpatrick of 225s and Flamingo 50 fame. The rest of the blog is fucking cool too. He knows his shit. If Indie-punk/pop is your jam, then Will is your guy. For serious, check out this blog.

Winona Forever

Winona Forever is Glasses on his own. Winona Forever is a lo-fi folk band. As seen on tour with Chris Clavin and ONSIND during Fashanu’s trip to the USA.

We met Anthony Poynter in Lexington, KY while we were over in the US last month and well, he’s a fucking cool guy. He was recently diagnosed with a late stage of cancer. Since he doesn’t have health insurance and because in the USA, there is no NHS, he has to pay for chemo and surgery out of his own pocket.
This is a benefit compilation to raise money to help Anthony get better.
Please download this and donate what you can. The comp really is massive.

Our tape is out. I don’t have a close up of the artwork yet.

Ours is the one on the right, the one that says Fashanu on it. We aren’t Ramshackle Glory and I’m not Pat the Bunny.
email discounthorserecords@gmail.com if you want one. They’re £4 with postage.
We also have 12 of our tour shirt left over. They’re £7.
You can buy them both here. www.discount-horse.com

The Crafty Records Punk Rock BBQ was amazing. We ate some hot dogs, played a show (Button Up! are cool!), then went swimming in the dirty, dirty New York sea. I made the classic mistake of going swimming right after eating and I projectile vomited in what could possibly be regarded as the nicest street in New York City.
New London is as crazy as Old London. Fact.
I wish I had some photos to put up but I don’t, so you’ll just have to imagine us having lots of fun. Imagination.

Basements are better
So, in the past few days we’ve vomited, nearly died, disappeared, eaten too many fries, set off fireworks, watched Independence day roll in at the Lincoln Memorial, sweated and played a couple of shows here and there.
Last night we played a basement show in New Brunswick with a band called 3Jane (Riffs) and the amazing Fairy Chaser (anti-folk w/wineglasses + SOAD covers).
The night before we sweated it out in the spider infested woods of Williamstown, NJ with Algernon Cadwallader. Hott.
Over the past 10 days we’ve seen about 7 states, a ton of awesome bands, a million cups of coffee and a bunch of birds eating Gary’s puke. Now we’re in Brooklyn, surrounded my Macbooks.
We’re almost halfway through the tour and we’ve already met so many excellent people. Mad thanks to everyone who’s sorted us out with a show, hung out with us or came to see us. Thanks. Thanks. Thanks.
Dayton! Ohio! Noelle is excellent!
